Dawson’s journey as a politico on the Trump 2020 campaign to local change-maker reflects his belief in the power of community-driven improvement. The Buchanan family, well-respected in Newland and the horticulture industry, has long been a pillar of local contributions through their nursery.

Now, Dawson is channeling this legacy into a new vision: to advance sustainable gardening practices in one of North Carolina’s most picturesque locales, to enrich his community through youth engagement and motivate others in the industry with environmental initiatives.
